Alexandra was a familiar face when she auditioned for this years X Factor competition being recognised by the judges as having been a contestant from a previous show.
Indeed, 19 year old Alexandra from London had took part in the competition 3 years ago and even managed to get to the final 7 in Louis Walsh's category. Sadly, on that occasion Louis Walsh had sent her home just before the live finals of the X Factor.
Alexandra Burke performed a stunning version of the Whitney Houston son "Saving all my love for you" for this years audition.
The X Factor judges Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh, Cheryl Cole and Dannii Minogue gave Alexandra Burke their stamp of approval for this years show with a resounding 4 yes votes.
Cheryl Cole looked across at Louis Walsh during the audition and seemed to say "Wow".
Luois Walsh commented that he thought Alexandra was Absolutely amazing. In every sense of the word I think you were world class!
Dannii Minnogue said that she thought Alexandra was amazing.
Simon Cowell concluded the judges comments by saying that he thought Alexandra has a great personality and he felt they had not yet seen her best performance.
At boot camp Alexandra got a further 4 positive comments from the X Factor judges .
04.10.08 update Alexandra Burke has now made it through to the judges houses stage of the competition and will be mentored by Cheryl Cole..
